Jorge Alberto Valladares lives in Central Florida where he is a full-time instructor in psychology, a clinical mental health counselor, and a doctoral student in counselor education.

Academic Training

Mr. Valladares holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, a Master of Science in General Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior from Rollins College, and an Associate in Arts degree from Valencia College. Jorge is currently a doctoral student in counselor education at the University of Central Florida.

Teaching Experience

Mr. Valladares is a full-time, tenured professor at Valencia College and has taught a variety of courses including General Psychology (PSY 2012), Developmental Psychology (DEP 2004), Human Sexuality (SOP 2772) and Abnormal Psychology (CLP 2140). Professor Valladares utilizes a variety of strategies to activate students in an engaging learning process.

Clinical Experience

Mr. Valladares is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. He is also certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors. Jorge has worked in a variety of settings, including college campuses, hospital settings, and group and individual practice settings. He currently works in private practice at Aria Counseling.
